MLB: Spring training in the MLB has officially started and the players are heard at work preparing for the actual season to start. There are two leagues in the MLB spring training. The first one is Cactus, and the second one is Grapefruit. They decided what team is on which league depending on where your team is located. The Cardinals have taken quite a few wins so far, but it’s still early in spring training, so anything can happen. On Friday, March 11th they play the Braves. The Cubs, on the other hand, are not off to a great start. They have taken many loses and a couple wins, but they have many games this week to catch up. The regular season for MLB will officially start on Sunday, April 3rd. The Cardinals will play the Pirates, the Mets will face the Royals, and the Blue Jays will go against the Rays. More games will continue on to April 4th, where the Cubs will face the Angels and the Astros will play the Yankees. This season is already shaping up to be a good one.
NBA: The NBA is well into their season now. On March 7th, the Bulls took the victory against the Bucks. The score was 100-90. On this day, the Warriors also beat Magic 119-113. On Sunday March 15th, the Celtics will face the Rockets. The Miami Heat will also be going against the Chicago Bulls. So make sure you tune in!
NFL: Peyton Manning officially announced his retirement for the NFL on March, 7th. This was a tough decision for him but after having so many injuries and surgeries, he felt like it was time. So after many records broken, 5 MVPs, and 2 Super bowls, Peyton Manning is finished creating himself into a quarterback, who will forever be missed and remembered. Other news in the NFL is that there are many important players whose contracts are up and they are technically free agents. For example, Matte Forte, a running back for the Chicago Bears, his contract is up. Brock Osweiler, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, is also a free agent. The NFL preseason and schedule has yet to be announced.
